"The American Black Chamber" (Japanese edition) published in 1931.
I acquired this Japanese book in July 2013 from a Canadian book enthusiast Jean-Guy Rioux who lives currently in Japan. Thank you Jean-Guy!!! Very difficult book to find. Additional photos: I wish to thank Kayoko as she's informed me (via Frode) that the last scan of page 467 shows that the book was printed on 5 August 1931 and that it was published on 10 August 1931. It was published by two newspapers, one in Osaka and the other in Tokyo. They are Osaka Mainichi Shimbun and Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun.

No other significant information on the web has been found on this specific Japanese edition although it is often referenced in historical publications regarding Herbert Yardley.

STU-III Secure Phones. Various models were produced including the 1500, 2500, 3500 and 9600. Of course, there were various accessories including fax units, manuals, keys, etc.

Found a 9600!!! Came along with a FAX unit from a super chap in Great Britain!
This website (by "Island Granite Group") is an excellent source of information on the various STU-III models.

Signal Corps Bulletins 1945 or earlier on cryptography. Mostly all found on eBay! One can scan this PDF version of a presentation on Friedman by Callimahos in which it is acknowledged that Friedman published many articles on cryptography in Signal Corps bulletins between 1925 and 1940.
