Pilot Officer Wireless Op­erator Air Gunner Cartman is buried in the Brookwood Military Cem­etery, Woking, Surrey, England.

Stirling aircraft failed to return from a supply and agent dropping op­eration. Squadron Leader Pilot Compton has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Runnymede War Memorial, Englefield Green, Egham, Surrey, England.

DOYLE, GEORGE TEMPLE SGT(AG) R126409. From Moncton, New Brunswick. Killed In Action Apr. 11/44 age 32. #161 Squadron. Halifax aircraft # LK 738 was lost while engaged in a special night operation. FS.s E.J. Firth, J.E. McGibbon, F/O.s P.W. Booth-Smith (RAF), J.R.H. Willson (RAF), Sgt.s D.A. Johnson (RAF), G.O. Parker (RAF), and WO. E. Mercer (RAF) were also killed. There were two pilots on board for this op­eration. Sergeant Air Gunner Doyle is buried in the Communal Cemetery at St. Hilaire-sur-Rille, Manche, France.

Hudson aircraft # V 9155 was shot down over Holland whilst dropping two agents and supplies to a re­sistance organization. Three of the crew and one agent, all not Cana­dians, were also killed. Flight Lieutenant Pilot Hale was buried at Gilze, Holland, exhumed, and reburied in the Canadian War Cemetery, Bergen-Op-Zoom, Holland.

Whitley aircraft missing be­tween Berck-Sur-Mer and Cambrai, France during an attack against Cambrai. Sgt.s A.R. Ashford (RAF), H. Pateman (RAF), W.E.R. Wright (RAF), P/O. M.R. Symonds (RAF), and FS. J.D. Walls (RAF) were also killed. Flight Sergeant Pilot MacDonald is buried in the Eastern Cem­etery, Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France.

The crew of Hudson aircraft # AE 595 were on a special night operation when the aircraft was shot down east of the aerodrome at Rheine, Germany. WO. F.E. Gray, one RAF, and one RNZAF member of the crew were also killed. Flying Officer Pilot Ragan was buried in the Friedhof Konigsesch Cemetery, Rheine, Germany, exhumed, and reburied in the Reichswald Forest War Cem­etery, Kleve Germany.

Six RAF members of the crew, Sgt.s L.P. Manning, S.M. Anderson, FS.s H.G. Martins, W. Wilson, P/O.s R. Gray, and U.S. Readhead were also killed. Pilot Officer Navigator Roy is buried in the Eastern Communal Cemetery, Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine, France.

Sgt.s H.R. Batten (RAF), R. Cotterill (RAF), and FS. E.R. Watts (RAF) were also killed. Three others of the crew, not Canadians, missing presumed killed. War­rant Officer Class II Air Gunner Shore is buried in the St. Desir War Cemetery, Calvados, France.

Halifax aircraft # BG 245 missing after take-off, cause and location not known. Six of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Flying Officer Navigator Taylor is buried in the War Cemetery at Durnbach, Germany.
